Welcome to Matilde Anna and Martino, our new PhD students

In February, 2 students started their PhD, Welcome in the lab !

Matilde Anna holds a Bachelor’s in Biology and a Master’s in Functional Genomics, during which she specialized in cancer biology and conducted a thesis on patient-derived tumor organoids. She then gained experience in a tissue engineering lab, contributing to a translational project for pediatric patients.

Before joining as PhD student, Martino earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from ETH Zürich, where he also pursued a Master’s degree in Molecular Health Sciences. During his master’s thesis, he investigated the impact of TNF? signaling perturbations on the behavior of expanding mutants in cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma. This research was part of a collaborative project between the group of Prof. Ataman Sendoel at the University of Zürich and Prof. Andreas Moor at ETH Zürich.
