Optimized full-spectrum flow cytometry panel for deep immunophenotyping of murine lungs

Congratulations to Zora and all co-authors for their publication on full-spectrum flow cytometry lung immunophenotyping in Cell Reports Methods.

The study addresses the need for a comprehensive, high-parameter flow cytometry panel capable of resolving the diverse immune cell populations in murine lungs, an organ particularly challenging due to its high autofluorescence. This optimized panel not only includes nearly all immune cell subtypes but also characterizes their maturation, activation, and inhibition states. By integrating traditional panel optimization strategies with an innovative approach for analyzing cellular autofluorescent signatures, we achieved a robust solution that is ready-to-apply for anyone interested. We further applied the panel in two murine models of lung metastatic mammary cancer, demonstrating its applicability in cancer immunology research.
